  • What should I do if my order arrived damaged?
    If your order arrives damaged, don’t worry—we’re here to help! Please reach out to our support team at tropicalplantshopllc@gmail.com with as many details as possible to help us assess the situation. Here’s what we’ll need to assist you quickly and effectively: Clear photos of the entire plant(s) from multiple angles, as well as close-ups of any specific areas of concern (e.g., damaged leaves, stems, or roots). A brief description of the issue and any changes you’ve noticed since receiving your plant. Important! Before contacting us, please do not make any changes or alterations to the plant, such as trimming leaves, repotting, or making adjustments to its soil. Doing so can void any potential solutions we may offer. However, you can safely remove the sphagnum moss that may have been used for packaging. Each plant and situation is unique, and our team may request additional photos or details to better understand what’s going on. In some cases, we might suggest giving your plant a little more time to acclimate to its new environment before taking further action. Plants often experience a bit of transit stress, and with the right care, they’ll bounce back beautifully! Keep in mind: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to contact us about any concerns. It’s completely normal for plants to show minor stress signs after shipping, such as droopy leaves, leaf shedding, or slight discoloration. Often, all they need is proper watering, some bright, indirect light, and time to adjust to their new home.   • Where do you ship?
    We only ship within the USA's lower 48 states & Hawaii. Unfortunately at this time, we aren't able to ship to Alaska. We do not ship internationally at this time – including US territories – or provide phytosanitary certifications.
  • Can you hold onto my order and ship it later?
    Absolutely! We’re happy to hold your order before it enters the fulfillment process for up to 2 weeks from the order date. If you’ll be unavailable to receive your delivery, please reach out to us at tropicalplantshopllc@gmail.com within 12 hours of placing your order with the specific dates you won’t be available. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request! Fulfillment Timeline: Fulfillment typically takes 4-7 days from the order date. Processing times may be slightly longer during big sales or holidays. Once your order enters the fulfillment process, it becomes more difficult to stop or hold, so contact us as soon as possible! Delivery Tips: If you won’t be home for delivery, consider asking a friend or neighbor to collect your package. If that’s not an option, let us know ASAP so we can work with you on the best solution. If you’re local to a UPS Access Point, you might be able to have your order held there by updating your delivery preferences in your UPS MyChoice Account.   • How do I cancel my order?
    If you need to cancel your order, please let us know within 12 hours of placing it. We'll do our best to accommodate requests made after this, but depending on where it is in the fulfillment process, we can't guarantee cancellation.
  • Can I make changes to my order?
    At Tropical Plant Shop, we’re committed to making your plant shopping experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible! Need to Make Changes to Your Order? We understand that sometimes things change! If you need to add or remove items from your order, or combine multiple orders, please reach out to our customer support team at tropicalplantshopllc@gmail.com with your order number and details of the changes you’d like to make. While we can’t guarantee adjustments—especially if your order is already being processed—we’ll do our best to accommodate your request! Incorrect Shipping Address? During colder months, we offer heat packs and thermal packaging to protect your tropical plants from cold damage during transit. These added layers of protection help maintain a stable temperature inside the package, keeping your plants safe from harsh weather conditions. We carefully monitor weather forecasts and may adjust shipping schedules to avoid extreme cold when necessary. Shipping Methods: All plants ship via UPS and USPS for fast and reliable delivery across the continental United States. For orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii, we may use USPS to ensure the most efficient delivery to these locations.   • How do I include a gift note, gift wrap, etc?
    How can I include a gift note with my order? Adding a personal touch is easy! The option to add a gift note is available exclusively on the web version of our website (not the app). Simply navigate to the "Add a Gift Note" section in the slide-out cart or on the cart page during the checkout process. What if I’ve already placed an order and want to include a gift note? No worries! If you’ve just placed an order and want to add a gift note, please contact us ASAP at tropicalplantshopllc@gmail.com with your order number and the message you'd like to include. We’ll do our best to add it before your order ships! Will prices be displayed in the box? Nope! We only include packing slips with our shipments, and they do not display prices by default—perfect for gift orders! Is gift wrapping available for online sales? At this time, we do not offer gift wrapping for online orders. However, we’re always looking to enhance our gifting options, so stay tuned for future updates!   • How long will it take to get my order?
    Our team usually takes 3-5 days to prepare your order. Once shipped, orders usually take no more than 5 business days to arrive, depending on the method of shipping you select. Don't worry - you'll get a shipping notification email with tracking when it's on the way! Please note: After holidays or sitewide sales, purges online our processing time will likely be extended.
